How u came to know God?
Under the influence and coercing of my bro (kidding!), i came to hope for the first time when i was in pri 5 and received christ on 23 dec 1998! haha. but then my mum and dad didn't allow me to attend church. thereafter, my parents banned my bro from bringing me to church again. but my bro secretly brought me to hope again when i was in sec one, even though i was constantly psycho-ed at home to never become a christian, i said yes to Jesus again. and so that's why i am here. HAHA.
Who has inspired u the most?
My bro.
Why?
Cos he's my bro! haha. people often say that it's very easy to be nice to everyone when you are outside but people often reveal their fangs when they are at home. for the consistency shown in his life at home and even outside home. for the many times he chose to stand firmly by God's principles even when my parents gave us a real hard time. for being my ministry-problems-consultant most of the times. for being a great support in the family. for teaching me so many things about growing my ministry, being a better sister at home, being a better salt and light at home, loving my parents and all. for really being someone whom i can always look up to as a role model in my life. and for loving me and bringing me to come and know God, he has to win the most inspiring person award in my life! =)

I really have bad memory. i have so many embarrassing moments that i really don't remember at all.

4JCs4JC! haha, i shall repeat this until the day i die or leave this ministry. (VJC, TPJC, TJC, MJC) JC SERVICE in the BIGGEST LT! come on, let's do it together. at the end of the day, this isn't my vision alone. it's God's vision for US. if God were to give me a choice as to who to lead, i would still choose to lead you guys! =) seriously, east a wouldn't be what it is now if not for you guys, even more so for my CLs! you guys really rawk! 15 in each JC can be done amen? (editor: AMEN!) we have to believe in it and really give our best! though i cannot be there on the field sowing on ya friends or even evangelize together with you all, i am battling with you guys and covering you all in prayer and also sowing on friends who are in my uni. you are NOT alone!!

How u came to know God?
Back in my sec 2 year. I was having CCA in school one day, while my roomate was waiting for me at the basketball court. A bunch of St Andrews people from Hope approached him and he received Christ on the spot. It happened miraculously considering that we used to make jokes out of Christians and Christianity and that day was the only time my roomate ever visited that particular basketball court. I was rather taken aback by his decision so i went to the church to see for myself. And the result is right here. yours sincerely.
Who has inspired u the most?
Got to be Dennis Loh. He is the second current shepherd of mine..
Why?
Much of what i know came from him (so blame him for all the irritating things i might do). Inspired by him because he is a man who had faced real life problems and lived to passed on what he knows. Very capable too when it comes to things outside the norms. If you know what i mean.

How u came to know God?
I went to my school’s church camp (Anglican High) and I was really touched by God so I started attending church! Haha, I was such an easy convert. But it was only until when I was sec 4 when I really saw the value in serving God.
Who has inspired u the most?
Pastor Jeff and Jasmine Loh.
Why?
I can really see how deep his relationship with God is and his heart in wanting to serve God to his best. As for Jasmine, I’m really inspired by how she understands people by putting them in their shoes and try her very best to get down to the root issues to help people solve their problems. Although I know she’s crazy at times.

The most embarassing moment in the last 1 year?
There was once where I bought bubble tea and cheesefries for my caregroup members and I was on my way to meet them. I was so engross in talking rubbish with liting that I actually didn’t see a curb and I fell flat face down. I even burst all the bubble tea and the satay sticks used to eat the cheesefries where sticking out from the plastic bag. LOL, yes you can laugh all you want.

God promised us that we are victors, the head not the tail, claim God’s promise, have faith and I believe that we’ll be able to see the impossible happening in the 4 JCs in the East!!! J!

How u came to know God?i was picked up from the streets, by a group of east girls. (classic example showing that street evax works! haha.) i went down for one the ESS, and 'converted' then. technically speaking, i didn't convert cause i didn't respond during altar call, but since it was a 'all eyes closed, all heads bowed' scenario, everyone thought i did. God has a funny way of creating accidents. i went for cg for food and didn't cared about any spiritual stuff, so i backslided. but i came back after restructuring, and there were people there who were so genuine that i've decided to stay again. so here i am..
Who has inspired u the most?too many to be named. i'm a sucker for inspiring words so it's quite easy to inspire me. haha. just to name a few, kim, jasmine and hanyun..
Why? cause they're all my leaders/shepherds! haha. i mean, i've seen the way they work and live their lives and the things they do showed me that there was more to our relationship with God than just what we're satisfied with now.

Encouraging words to the unit? since you're already in youth, please make the best use of these 2 years. we only have 2 years to change and impact our peers, so grab hold of every opportunity and see the value and potential of every single soul here! 2 years is really short. let's not major on the minor and engage in mundane nonsense, but use every opportunity to influence and change your school. don't put yourself in a position where you look back and realised that your 2 years in jc was wasted away, and blood is in your hands because you didn't do anything about your school.!

How u came to know God?
God called me since I was 3. Accepted Christ as a kid and backslided when I was Pri,6. However, I re-dedicated my life to God in YHope when I'm a sec 4 gal in St. Hilda's Sec, thanks to my very persistent classmate (who's my good pal) , Jacquelyn Tan whom I rejected for 3yrs!! God spoke to me urging me to come HOME and find a place I truly belong. Thus, I found Hope. =)

If I'm a man, I'll definitely marry Priscilla Tan (editor:this is her don't how many time to say this..haha! er too many?! I'm a LILL horse-face. OK CORRECTION, M_ _ _ _Y-face. er e more embarassing moments recently was e district outing @ ECP where my bunch of puny gals DRAGGED n CARRIED the not-so-small me, pinning me to the ground to 'suffer' their not-so-successful TAU POK. Apparently they forgot i'll ZHAO GENG, in front of soooo many ppl!! PIANGSS!! =X

Who has inspired u the most?Many definitely! But I would say Dennis Loh!
Why? Back in high school in East, he was literally like a father to me. He taught me to love people, and to never lose the heart to feel for people. Serving God, wanting to know and follow God’s heartbeat every step of the way.. He’s the role model for me, truly the “laoda” of the east.

The most embarassing moment in the last 1 year?Oh man. A tad too many. I guess its when I played some stupid “2 truth 1 lie” game at the eastA Christmas party. Totally spoiled my hunkish image. (editor: you never had one to begin with.)

To do that, we have to be really close to God, and see things through God’s “contact lenses”. The people of God are not destined for mediocrity, but victory.!

How u came to know God?My brother brought me to hope in pri6, I backslided after that. He brought me back again just 1 week before he enlisted into NS, which is somewhere in the mid of sec1. I rmb that service was really really impactful. I was facing some problems in class and it was a tough time for me. During worship, they sang How Could I Live Without You and when I heard it I just broke down and cried cos I felt really really touched by God at that point. That’s my point of return man.

What's ur love Language?The last time I checked it was quality time, but now I think its more and more words of encouragement. I love it when people say encourage me, or just tell me where I’ve gone wrong/what I’ve done well!
The most embarassing moment in the last 1 year?I have this really really precious notebook with all my PHYSICAL GEOG notes inside, all personally handwritten by me, complete with diagrams and all. It’s like my geography bible! Anyway there was this one day I went home, wanted to study geog, and then when I opened my bag I couldn’t find it. I panicked, searched my room and all, then called one of my classmates and tell her I couldn’t find it. She suggested I might have left it in school. We started to discuss where I could have left it, then I started crying… I mean, wouldn’t you cry if you lost your notes!?! Okay sorry, they’re very precious notes to me, geog rocks okay? Back to point. Then she panicked too, thinking of how to console me, how to get back my geog notebook. Then suddenly I had this urge to walk to my bag, and to my horror of horrors, I saw my geog notebook lying inside. COS IT’S BLACK COLOUR, totally blended into my black bag. Hahaha I don’t have to tell you how stupid it was trying to tell my friend it between sobs and abit of laughter that I found my notebook IN MY BAG. Stupid right..stupid.
Encouraging words to the unit? we can only be crazy once, if you’ve missed your chance in high school, now’s the time to! Attempt crazy things for God, cos if it’s not crazy enough, we’ll be belittling the power and faithfulness of God! We’re not competing with other JCs, other units, other caregroups for the numbers, but competing against time for people’s souls, so do your best, God will surely top you up. Honestly 10 years down the road, nobody’s gonna remember if you won the Adivision championships for your school, or won some national award thingy, and nobody’s gonna bother if your caregroup was how-many-number-people strong, but I’m really very sure, 10 years down the road, you’ll be proud to tell someone that the person you brought to church in your JC days, is still serving God fervently now and your actions have ensured that the Christian community in your school is going strong and steady, so that many more other lives are changed. Go JC East!! One man can change the world, you can change your friends’ lives, your schoolmates’ lives, you can change your SCHOOL CULTURE, by being a little more burdened and concerned and doing something for them yeah! This is what we can do now, so do it well!!

The most embarassing moment in the last 1 year?This is a tough one, I’m always very glam and I make sure I don’t embarrass myself :P but if there’s one, then it has to be one time I was taking train home from somerset. I was so tired, I slept all the way till jurong and overshot my stop at woodlands, that’s about 8 stops!
Encouraging words to the unit? Walking with God is definitely not easy, but God promises us that we’d be absurdly happy and satisfied in Him! There’ll be times when we have to make tough decisions, like giving up things we love to do for the Kingdom of God. So hang on! :D!

The steamboat stuff, which we barely touched
meat, meat & more meat (: TJ is a VERY carnivorous caregroup.
Justina was whispering to me as she piled up on the salmon, you know, if you eat more salmon it's the most worth it. (Salmon is ex mahs~) I was like, LOLS Justina, so aunty!!! x_x
Vege... which practically none of us took. Louis even chucked some cabbage in & DID NOT eat them =.= GOSH they were so totally overcooked as they 'rotted' inside the steamboat.
Check out Chengying's face when Louis attempts to experiment a new way of cooking on the bbq pan, to crack an egg & fry noodles=.= He's like totally saying, "haix, why does he even bother?"
SEE this is his new product! & he claimed that his friends thought it was nice that time he cooked for them. Maybe they were just really too nice or they had weird taste.
Everyone was forced /coerced to try his weird creation. thankfully it was ok.
